Hello, world

After 16 months at Lovable I have finally migrated my personal website. The reason it did not happen sooner is that I promised myself not to "cheat": no workarounds or admin features to achieve what I want, just the vanilla Lovable experience. It served as a motivator and a reminder of how far we have yet to go.

For a long time I was missing good SEO, smoother image uploads, smooth support for custom domains and an email contact form. Now we finally have all of these things! So far I've spent 429.7 credits on this project (~$100 at the time of writing); a somewhat uncomfortable but not totally unreasonable amount.

Still; making this website was a lot more work that I had hoped. I look forward to seeing how easy it will be to rebuild in 6 months.

Posts here are written as React components, which means I can drop in whatever I want — diagrams, interactive demos, images, embedded videos — without fighting a CMS. More soon.
